What Johnson Lawn Services Can Do for You

Mowing, Trimming, Edging, Blowing

A healthy, well-groomed lawn starts with proper mowing. From spring through fall, you can count on us to mow your lawn at the right height, carefully trim around trees and along edges, and blow stray clippings from paved surfaces.

Note: Grass clippings contain an abundance of nutrients that benefit your lawn. We therefore do not bag them. However, upon request we will bag and remove clippings for a small fee.

Core Aeration & Overseeding

In order to thrive, your lawn needs to be porous enough to allow oxygen, water, and nutrients to penetrate down to the root zone. Compacted soil and thatch buildup prevent this.

Using a motorized machine, we remove 2-3 inch plugs of soil from your lawn (about 2-4 inches apart) and leave them on the surface, providing an entry point for nutrients, air, and water. Then, immediately following aeration, we apply a layer of new grass seed to give your lawn an even greater boost. The result is a thicker, greener, and healthier lawn!

Spring Cleanup

Old Man Winter can wreak havoc on even the best maintained lawns. From dethatching, raking up leaves and sticks, repairing damaged areas, cleaning out landscape beds, and freshening up mulch, we'll get your property back in tip-top shape and ready for spring in no time.

Sod Removal and Installations

Need an area of your lawn removed to make way for a new landscape bed, shed, pool, patio or something else? Or perhaps you're looking to replace a few bare spots in your lawn with new sod? Whatever your reason for wanting to remove or add sod, we can help.

Mulch and Rock Installation

A fresh layer of mulch or rock in landscape beds and around trees can do wonders for the curb appeal of your property. More importantly, it discourages weed germination and growth, helps keep soil cool and moist, and protects roots from frost damage. Whether you’re looking to freshen things up or start from scratch, we can help.

Hand Weeding

Minimizing the number of weeds in gardens and other landscaped areas is another way to keep your property looking its best. To prevent damage to your flowers and plants, we employ an arsenal of non-chemical tools and techniques to pull and wrestle weeds from your gardens.

Fall Leaf Cleanups

Spending an entire weekend raking leaves is probably near the bottom of your “favorite things about fall” list. But left untouched, these leaves could smother your lawn or expose it to turf diseases like snow mold.

Using a combination of hand tools and power equipment, we’ll make quick work of collecting and removing leaves from your property while you kick back and enjoy the game.

Gutter Cleaning

If you can’t remember the last time you had your gutters cleaned, now is the time to get it done. Debris-filled gutters can tear away from your home, overflow, or cause damage to your foundation. As a result, you might end up paying thousands of dollars for repairs that could have been avoided. If your home or business is a one-story or ranch-style structure, we can help.

Bush & Hedge Trimming

Keeping up with overgrown bushes and hedges can be a hassle. But left untouched, they could eventually interfere with power lines, smother other vegetation, and lessen the curb appeal of your property. Depending on the type and size, we can help.

Planting and Removal

Sometimes you just want those pesky, overgrown bushes, hedges or other vegetation out of your life for good... or replaced with something new. No problem. Using a range of methods, we carefully remove unwanted vegetation and haul it from your property. If you want something new in its place or elsewhere, we can do that too.

Junk and Debris Removal

Have a pile of fallen branches or other yard waste you want disposed of but waste management won't take it? Or, have a few appliances or a garage full of stuff you want gone but don't have the time, desire or equipment to haul it away yourself? Depending on the type and size, we can help.
